To the qualified electors of Hagar Township, Berrien County, Michigan. The Hagar Township Election Commission will meet Monday December 11, 2023 at 6:45 p.m. to vote on a resolution reducing the number of voting precincts in Hagar Township from two to one. The meeting will take place before the regular board meeting at HAGAR TOWNSHIP HALL  |  3900 RIVERSIDE RD  |  BENTON HARBOR, MI 49022

MCL 168.658 and MCL 168.661 were amended to increase the maximum size of a single precinct on election day from 2999 to 4999 voters. Hagar Township has 2878 registered voters (as of 12/6/2023). Under both old and newly-amended versions of the law, Hagar Township is only required to have one voting precinct.
