PLANNING COMMISSION - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing is set for Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 7:15 p.m. during the regular meeting of the Hagar Township Planning Commission at:

HAGAR TOWNSHIP HALL  •  3900 RIVERSIDE RD  •  BENTON HARBOR, MI 49022

The purpose of the hearing is to [1] amend Hagar Township Ordinance 27 (Construction Code, Floodplain Management) and [2] to update the language in Section 14.01 (Purpose and Intent) and Section 14.02 (Sensitive Area Overlay Requirements) of Article XIV - Sensitive Area Overlay and Floodplain Overlay by replacing all instances of MDEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality with EGLE (Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy).

At this public hearing, Hagar Township property owners and residents shall have the opportunity to appear and make a comment.

Hagar Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services (upon request) with at least 3 days notice to the Hagar Township Clerk. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services may contact the clerk at:
